Navegadores - trip to Ethiopia, 20 days to go

On the 18th of October a 17 person team is going to Ethiopia with a special mission. 11 of them are going to install solar batteries in a hospital,where operations after dusk are being done with the battery headlights, as well as dig a new well there, and then, 500 km away, refurbish a school high in the mountains. 2 are the medical help and 4 are going to record the efforts.

The action is organized by Navegadores Society:

"Bringing humanitarian and development aid with corporate Partners according to unique operational model. In the world of many distant cultures. We SHARE THE DISTANCE."

The trip is going to be photographed by Miguel Gaudencio.
A documentary movie will be directed by Maciej Puczyński with a sound recording by Sebastian Mucha. The media part is produced by Marta Wierzbicka - the team that is already cooperating on "Desire for Beauty" - the movie.

Autumn in Żelazowa Wola promotes Chopin in Spain

As the autumn has just began, it is almost a year since the production of film for Chopin Museum in Żelazowa Wola has started in cooperation with Paul Kucharski at Centre Screen. The movie promotes the Museum during the 2010 Chopin's Year in Spain. Cinematography & co-directed by Maciej Puczyński.

MotoIntegrator launched

As a result of a long time cooperation between OMProductions and MotoIntegrator the new viral campaign is heading towards the end of the production period. This first two of five ads to the music of Piotr Jasiński have been launched just recently to the net.

Directed and DoP'd by Maciej Puczyński. The production is managed by Piotr Jasiński, and the film is edited by Marek Lamprecht. Grip by Wojciech Walenciak from Grip7.

It is a great pleasure, that this idea by Maciej Stuhr of entering inside few movies and spreading some disturbing news to the characters went live with such a great feedback. Everything was shot during one day inside and around a restaurant in the middle of Warsaw. The idea was to match Maciej with all the cinematography and characters nominated (or not) for the Polish Film Academy Awards Eagles 2010.

Desire for Beauty (Pragnienie Piękna)

Another part of documentary shoot for our movie with our dear Miguel Gaudencio has been completed. This time "documentary" is not the best description as apart from the interviews with renown sexuologist Zbigniew Lew-Starowicz and journalist and poet Maria Czubaszek it were the fictional flashbacks of the characters being shot.

Cells of Memory (Ogniwa Pamięci)

Before we move on with the more current stuff, let's share some of the older works.

This event was a part of integrational actions for people in Masurian Lake Disctrict in Poland. The girls sing songs to commemorate a tragic story of a wedding on an island, when people coming back drowned in the lake.

The action was staged by Alicja Ruczko with Albedo Group for the local villigers, on who's memories various actions are based. It is part of Ryszard Michalski's "Tratwa" Association project for integration of the society in the region.

The actual footage is a part of an ongoing documentary production showing the presence of complicated history of the Masurian area in people's present lives.

There's also a lot of interviews with the villagers in OMProductions' hard drives archives. However, if you're able to read Polish, you can find the stories collected on Cells of Memory (Ogniwa Pamięci) website.

Sza/Za - Penne God Music Video

It's actually been about a year now that this video went live. This is however a very nice bit of a great teamwork to show on the very beginning of this blog.

There was an idea already floating around. It has started with a long time friendship with composer Patryk Zakrocki and Karolina Karwan's childhood dreams. She used to dream of her home full of water and she was the idea giver, inspired by Patryk's and Paweł Szamburski's music. So the three of them have spent two nights underwater surrounded with a set of 2.5K's and electricity cables all around. And there's one lamp, as you can notice, immersed. And this is all the mystery, how was it done.

The music is a part of an album: "Before Dawn, Before Dusk" that collects guys' cooperation with theater director Piotr Cieplak and choreographer Leszek Bzdyl.

The video was co-directed by Maciej Puczyński & Karolina Karwan.
